Renovate with confidence

Quality assurance

Your renovation should look beautiful and be built with care. We take responsibility for the details, from the work behind your walls to the finishes you see every day.

Our quality promise

Confidence in your renovation starts long before the final walkthrough.

You deserve to know how your home is being built and who’s checking the work. From planning and protection to inspections and finishing touches, we follow clear checkpoints throughout your renovation. You stay informed, concerns are addressed along the way, and quality receives attention at every stage.

The standards

Eight checkpoints on every project

01

Careful planning from the start

A smoother renovation starts with knowing what to expect. Before work begins, we assess your space, work through the details and agree on a clear plan with you.

  • Accurate measurements and a review of your home’s existing condition
  • Design and construction planning to confirm what’s practical
  • Engineering input where structural work requires it
  • Preparation and coordination of required permit applications
  • A written scope, allowances and schedule agreed before construction

02

Respect for your home

You’re trusting us with the place you live. We plan protection, cleanup and safe access around your home and the work taking place.

  • Protection for floors, stairs and existing finishes before work begins
  • Dust barriers and additional containment where needed
  • Daily cleanup and secure storage of tools and materials
  • Site practices that follow applicable health and safety requirements
  • Care for your landscaping, shared access and neighbouring properties

03

People you can trust with the work

The people working in your home matter as much as the plan. We choose trades and suppliers for their workmanship, reliability and willingness to stand behind what they do.

  • Trade credentials, insurance and applicable WSIB coverage checked before work begins
  • Established working relationships that support consistent workmanship
  • Clear expectations for each trade’s work and responsibilities
  • Suppliers chosen for dependable products, availability and after-sales support

04

Inspections at the right stages

Some of the most important work will eventually be hidden. We coordinate the required inspections while that work is still accessible, so it can be checked before the next stage begins.

  • Required inspections scheduled and coordinated with the site team
  • Relevant structural, plumbing, electrical and mechanical approvals tracked
  • Engineering reviews arranged where required
  • Work covered only after the necessary inspections and approvals

05

Details checked throughout

Small issues are easier to resolve when they’re caught early. We review the work as it progresses, then walk through the finished space with you to identify anything that still needs attention.

  • Quality reviews at key construction and finishing stages
  • Waterproofing checks and testing before finishes are installed, where required
  • A project manager’s review before your final walkthrough
  • A written list of outstanding items, tracked through completion

06

Clear information, informed decisions

You should feel comfortable asking what’s happening, what it costs and what comes next. We keep the details documented and explain changes before asking you to make a decision.

  • Your scope, selections and allowances recorded in writing
  • Additional work priced and approved before it proceeds
  • Progress updates and site photos throughout the project
  • Photo records of relevant work before it is concealed

07

Materials chosen for everyday life

A finish needs to do more than look good in a photograph. We consider how each material will be used, maintained and supported, helping you choose options that suit your home and daily routine.

  • Products selected for their intended use and exposure to moisture or temperature changes
  • Waterproofing systems suited to the wet areas being renovated
  • Established suppliers with product and warranty support
  • Proposed substitutions explained and approved by you in writing

08

Support after completion

Once the renovation is finished, you should know who to call and how to care for your new space. We explain your warranty, provide practical guidance and remain available when covered issues need attention.

  • A written workmanship warranty with clear coverage details
  • A seasonal follow-up after the first heating cycle
  • A named contact for warranty questions and service
  • Care and maintenance guidance for your finishes
